La mission de la National Telecommunications Commission (NATCOM) de Sierra Leone, conduite par son directeur général-adjoint, M. Amara Brawa, accompagné de Sah Momodu Sewah, directeur Ingénierie et Infrastructures, a effectué en fin avril un séjour en Guinée, précisément dans les locaux de l’Autorité de Régulation des Postes et Télécommunications (ARPT).
Accueillie par le DG de l’ARPT, M. Yacouba Cissé, la mission visait à trouver une solution aux interférences des stations FM de part d’autre des deux pays, ainsi qu’au roaming non intentionnel aux frontières des deux pays.
Par ailleurs, outre l’échange d’expériences, la rencontre a permis de mettre en place les bonnes pratiques sur l’identification des abonnées, la lutte contre la fraude, la cybercriminalité, les transactions électroniques, les textes légaux et règlementaires appliqués en République de Guinée.
Il a été aussi question de promouvoir la coopération entre les deux institutions dans le domaine des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (TIC) de même que la surveillance du spectre (assistance mutuelle pour la localisation), la veille technologique, économique et juridique ; la surveillance et l’observation du marché des Télécommunications, la tarification, la lutte contre la fraude, la cybercriminalité et la sensibilisation à la cyber sécurité et autres aspects, liés au secteur des télécommunications.
