Le Colonel Souleymane, à chaque fois qu’on partait au front et on revenait, il me donnait 100 dollars et me félicitait pour me dire que j’ai fait preuve de courage. Le président feu Général Conté nous avait rendu visite là-bas. Il a fait une promesse et a donné 500 dollars à chaque membre du contingent qui était au Libéria. C’était pour nous féliciter. Quand nous sommes revenus, j’ai fait quelques mois en Guinée. Moi-même, je me suis inscrit pour aller en Sierra Leone, parce que je ne pouvais pas être tranquille tant qu’il y avait la guerre chez les pays voisins. C’est ainsi que j’ai fait les trois pays : Guinée Bissau, la Sierra Leone et le Libéria. Au Libéria, je fus le garde du corps du président Charles Taylor. Il a fait la demande auprès de la CEDEAO. Il y avait d’autres militaires Ghanéens, Nigérians…nous avons été désignés pour assurer sa sécurité. On l’a protégé pendant un an six mois. J’étais dans le campement de la Présidence. J’ai fait un temps remarquable là-bas jusqu’à mon retour en Guinée » a-t-il expliqué.
