La République de Guinée, en 2020, aura investi 210 millions de dollars en dépenses militaires, selon l’institut international de recherche sur la paix de Sotckholm, a travers un classement fait dans ce cadre.

Ce financement colosse, consiste à améliorer et renforcer le système de défense militaire, de ce pays situé en Afrique de l’Ouest, rapporte nos confrères de aconakrylive.com, qui ont cité l’institut international de recherche sur la paix de Sotckholm.
L’institut indique que ce montant équivalait à 2,6% du produit intérieur brut (PIB), dans la même année. Cela classe la Guinée, au 27ème rang en Afrique, après plusieurs autres Etats africains.
Par ailleurs, le classement fait par cet institut, des pays dépensiers en terme de sécurisation, désigne l’Algérie qui aura investi 9,7 milliards de dollars en 2020, soit 6,7% de son PIB. Et son voisin, le Maroc qui, à son tour, a investi 4,8 milliards de dollars, suivi de l’Egypte estimé à 4,5 milliards de dollars; l’Afrique du Sud 3,1 milliards de dollars. En Afrique de l’Ouest, c’est le Nigéria qui occupe la tête de liste avec un investissement 2,5 milliards de dollars.
Le Niger fait son entrée avec 240 millions de dollars, soit 2,4% du PIB; la Zambie avec 212 millions de dollars, soit 1,2% de son PIB et la Guinée avec 210 millions de dollars avec 2,6%. Le Cap Vert occupe le bas de ce classement avec 11,3 millions de dollars, soit 0,% de PIB.
